Quick answer

The Skin Longevity Program at Silk Clinics is a personalised, sequenced plan that combines regenerative injectables (PRP, exosomes, polynucleotides, Profhilo, skin boosters, collagen stimulators), energy-based devices (Scarlet RF, fractional CO2) and medical skincare to help preserve collagen, elasticity, tone and barrier function over years — not weeks.

What is the Skin Longevity Program?

Skin longevity is a clinical approach to preserving the biology of the skin as it ages. From the late twenties onward, dermal collagen density drops by roughly 1% per year, elastin fibres fragment, hyaluronic acid content falls, and the skin barrier becomes slower to repair itself. UV exposure, sleep debt, glycation, hormonal shifts and pollution accelerate every one of these processes.

Rather than treating each concern in isolation — a peel here, a filler there — the Skin Longevity Program combines regenerative treatments that biologically stimulate the skin (PRP, exosomes, polynucleotides, collagen stimulators) with energy-based collagen induction (Scarlet RF microneedling, fractional CO2), hydration and bio-remodelling (Profhilo, skin boosters), and medical-grade home care. Every element is chosen and sequenced by a DHA-licensed dermatologist based on your Fitzpatrick type, current skin quality, lifestyle and long-term goals.

The aim is not a single 'wow' result. The aim is durable skin quality — better texture, firmer laxity, calmer pigment, healthier barrier — assessed with photography and re-planned every six months.

Who this program is for

  • Adults 25+ who want to invest early in preventive dermatology rather than chase corrections later.
  • Patients 35–55 noticing early laxity, dullness, pigment changes or thinning skin quality and want a structured plan, not one-off treatments.
  • Patients recovering from sun damage, acne, or long periods without medical skincare who want to rebuild dermal quality.
  • Patients preparing for or maintaining after cosmetic procedures who want the underlying skin to keep improving.

Treatments inside this program

Every Skin Longevity plan is personalised, but the following treatments form the core toolkit. Your Silk Clinics doctor selects, sequences and combines them based on your assessment.

How our doctors build your plan

Phase 1

Assessment & baseline

A dermatologist reviews your history, sun exposure, hormonal context, current skincare and photographs your skin (clinical + polarised). We agree measurable goals — texture, firmness, pigment, barrier — and rule out anything that needs prior medical management (rosacea flare, active acne, melasma triggers).

Phase 2

Repair & remodel (months 0–4)

A loading phase typically combines a regenerative series (PRP, exosomes or polynucleotides x3), one or two collagen-induction sessions (Scarlet RF or fractional CO2, spaced 4–6 weeks apart), and Profhilo or skin boosters for hydration and bio-remodelling. Medical skincare is rebuilt around a retinoid, vitamin C, SPF and barrier support.

Phase 3

Maintain & compound (months 4–12+)

Treatments space out to quarterly, layered so each session builds on prior collagen and hydration gains. Photography is repeated every 6 months and the plan is re-tuned — some patients drop devices, some add collagen stimulators (Sculptra, Radiesse) for structural support.

Expected outcomes

Most patients notice hydration and glow within weeks. Texture, pore quality and pigment improvements typically become visible from 8–12 weeks. Firmness and laxity respond more slowly — meaningful change is usually seen from 4–6 months with sustained gains at 9–12 months. Long-term, structured Skin Longevity programs are associated in the dermatology literature with improved dermal collagen density, better skin elasticity and reduced photoaging markers.

All outcomes vary between patients and depend on adherence, biology, lifestyle and the treatments chosen. Silk Clinics does not guarantee results and does not make lifespan or anti-aging claims.

What our doctors commonly recommend

For adults 30–45 our doctors commonly build a foundation of quarterly PRP or exosomes with two Scarlet RF sessions per year and Profhilo x2 courses annually, plus medical skincare. For 45+ patients, a collagen stimulator (Sculptra or Radiesse) is often layered in to support structural volume, alongside targeted CO2 for texture. Pigment-prone skins are supported with tranexamic acid protocols and gentle peels rather than aggressive resurfacing.

Cost factors

We do not publish fixed program pricing because every plan is personalised. Estimated investment is confirmed in writing at consultation. The main variables are:

  • Which treatments are combined (regenerative + energy-based + injectables cost more than any single modality).
  • Number of sessions in the loading phase versus lighter maintenance.
  • Whether collagen stimulators (Sculptra, Radiesse, Profhilo) are added.
  • Whether medical skincare and in-clinic peels are included in the plan.
  • Any add-on assessments such as VISIA imaging or biopsy of specific lesions.

Common mistakes to avoid

Chasing individual treatments instead of a plan

One PRP session or one RF session in isolation rarely changes skin quality durably. Regenerative and energy-based treatments compound — the benefit comes from a structured series and consistent maintenance.

Over-treating with aggressive resurfacing

Repeated deep peels or excessive laser in Fitzpatrick III–V skin risks post-inflammatory pigmentation. A longevity plan calibrates intensity to skin type and season.

Skipping the barrier and SPF work

In-clinic gains are lost when the daily routine is aggressive, drying or without SPF. Medical skincare is not optional in a longevity plan — it is half of the result.

Booking on price rather than diagnosis

Discounted 'packages' rarely match the biology of your skin. A dermatologist-led assessment prevents wasted spend on treatments you don't need.

Alternatives

For patients not ready for a full program, single-modality courses (PRP series, Profhilo course, Scarlet RF x3) are available. For patients wanting surgical correction of laxity, an aesthetic dermatology plan complements — it does not replace — a face-lift or eyelid surgery consultation. For pigment-dominant concerns, our medical pigmentation protocols may be more appropriate as a first step.

Frequently asked questions

Preventive dermatology work is most effective when started before significant collagen loss — many of our patients begin between 28 and 40. That said, well-structured programs deliver visible benefit at any age; the plan simply shifts weighting from prevention to repair.
