Quick answer
The Hair Longevity Program at Silk Clinics combines medical scalp assessment with regenerative treatments — PRP, PRF, hair exosomes, growth factors and scalp mesotherapy — to help preserve density, support the follicle environment and slow miniaturisation. Every plan is personalised and delivered by DHA-licensed doctors.
What is the Hair Longevity Program?
Hair Longevity is a preventive and regenerative approach to hair health. Hair follicles do not simply 'die'; they miniaturise — becoming smaller and producing finer, shorter hairs — under the combined pressure of androgen sensitivity, inflammation, nutritional deficiency, stress, hormonal shifts and scalp micro-circulation changes. Left unsupported, this process compounds and becomes harder to reverse.
Our program starts with medical diagnosis: trichoscopy, scalp examination, targeted blood work where indicated (iron, ferritin, vitamin D, thyroid, hormones), and a review of triggers. From that we build a structured protocol combining regenerative injectables — PRP or PRF to deliver concentrated growth factors, hair exosomes for regenerative signalling, growth-factor cocktails, and mesotherapy with biotin and micronutrients — sequenced across a loading phase and then maintained quarterly.
Where appropriate we integrate prescription therapies (topical minoxidil, oral finasteride/dutasteride in eligible patients) and address underlying medical drivers. The program is not a cure for androgenetic alopecia — no treatment is — but it is one of the most evidence-based ways to support and preserve what you have.
Who this program is for
- Adults noticing early thinning, widening of the parting, or increased shedding.
- Patients with a family history of hair loss who want to protect density proactively.
- Postpartum, post-illness or high-stress patients recovering from telogen effluvium.
- Patients preparing for or maintaining after a hair transplant to support graft survival and native hair.
Treatments inside this program
Every Hair Longevity plan is personalised, but the following treatments form the core toolkit. Your Silk Clinics doctor selects, sequences and combines them based on your assessment.
How our doctors build your plan
Phase 1
Diagnose
Medical history, trichoscopy, scalp photography and — where indicated — blood work to identify or rule out nutritional, hormonal or inflammatory drivers. Not every thinning is androgenetic, and treating the wrong cause wastes time.
Phase 2
Load (months 0–4)
A regenerative loading phase — typically PRP or PRF monthly for 3 sessions, layered with hair exosomes or growth factor treatments, and scalp mesotherapy every 2–4 weeks. Prescription therapies start where appropriate.
Phase 3
Maintain (months 4–12+)
Boosters every 3 months, with trichoscopy repeated at 6 and 12 months to measure hair diameter, density and shedding trends. The protocol is re-tuned based on measurable change.
Expected outcomes
Shedding often reduces within the first 6–8 weeks. Hair quality (calibre, gloss, thickness of individual shafts) improves from 8–12 weeks. Measurable density gains — where achievable — are seen from month 4 onwards and become clearer at 9–12 months on comparative trichoscopy. Outcomes are strongly dependent on the underlying cause, the stage of miniaturisation, adherence and biology.
All outcomes vary between patients and depend on adherence, biology, lifestyle and the treatments chosen. Silk Clinics does not guarantee results and does not make lifespan or anti-aging claims.
What our doctors commonly recommend
For active androgenetic thinning we most often combine PRP or PRF (foundation), hair exosomes (regenerative amplification), and monthly mesotherapy, with topical minoxidil at home. For post-partum or telogen effluvium we lean on mesotherapy, growth factors and correcting the underlying deficiency. For pre-transplant patients we build a 3–6 month regenerative runway; for post-transplant we protect grafts with PRP starting at week 4.
Cost factors
We do not publish fixed program pricing because every plan is personalised. Estimated investment is confirmed in writing at consultation. The main variables are:
- Number and cadence of regenerative sessions (PRP/PRF, exosomes, growth factors, mesotherapy).
- Whether exosomes are combined with PRP versus used alone.
- Whether prescription therapies and blood investigations are included.
- Duration of the loading phase versus maintenance-only.
- Any additional trichology assessment or specialist referrals.
Common mistakes to avoid
Waiting for advanced thinning before starting
Follicles that have fully miniaturised are much harder to support. Early intervention gives regenerative treatments more biology to work with.
Skipping medical diagnosis
Not all hair loss is androgenetic. Iron deficiency, thyroid dysfunction, scarring alopecias and inflammatory scalp conditions need to be identified — treating them incorrectly wastes months.
One-off treatments
A single PRP session will not change the trajectory of hair loss. Regenerative hair work compounds through a loading series and consistent maintenance.
Buying miracle-cure products
Any product that claims to regrow hair without a diagnosis or medical framework should be treated with skepticism. Evidence-based hair medicine is patient, structured and honest about what is possible.
Alternatives
For advanced miniaturisation or long-standing loss, hair transplantation is discussed as an alternative or complement. For scarring alopecias, medical dermatology takes priority. For patients not ready for a program, single-modality PRP courses or mesotherapy series are available — with the understanding that outcomes are typically smaller than a combined protocol.
Frequently asked questions
No. There is no cure for androgenetic alopecia. Our program aims to support the follicle environment, reduce shedding, improve hair quality and — where possible — measurably preserve density.
